Rose Bowl Winners 1968-2009 The coveted Rose Bowl was donated to the Kiwanis Music Festival in 1968 by two Calgary piano teachers, Linhart Walker and John duVal, as a lasting memorial to a very fine piano teacher, Dr. Gladys Egbert of Calgary. It is awarded each year to the most outstanding performer of the Festival.
